Eric was my hero he was my dad,he sadly passed away on the 10th March 2004 of lung cancer. He was
Dad to Carol, Julie, Allan and Lee, brother to David, William and Julie son of Jess and Lillian. He
had many nephews neices and Grandchildren.
My Dad was an amazing man with great morals, he taught us to work hard and to be honest. He had many
friends in the Hulme area, he always said when you die give it six months and you will be forgotten,
well he is still often talked about with fondness by his friends and on a daily basis by his
family.
The pain of losing my Dad was unbearable, all his children was with him when he passed over. My
brother Allan held both his hands as he took his last breath which was apt as being the eldest son.
Unfortunately Allan passed away July 2007 from suicide, i know my dad would have returned the honour
and took Allan's hands home to spirit.
My Dad would have fought the world for his children, he was a real mans man, he had a way of making
us girls feel like Princesses.
He loved football (Manchester United Fan!) and Boxing, he loved socialising with friends in the
pub.
Not a day goes by when i do not think about you Dad, please take care of Allan for me and until we
meet again have a ball up there, loving you always Julie Wombat x x x

Hi Eric, I'm so happy that you and Allan are together, although if i had just 1 wish, it would be for the two of you to be here with us all. Life will never be the same for any of us with out you both in it.
Allan never got over losing you, he loved you so much. I'm sure you'd have given him what for when you met him.
I really miss the times we spent together, dancing in the pub. The best and funniest time was when Allan passed his driving test, and he had to look on whilst we got drunk, and he could'nt, because he was driving, hahaha.
Can you imagine meeting your father in law for the first time on your wedding day!! How scary is that? but i needn't have worried. What did you say to me? 'you didn't recognise me with my clothes on' Well that was it, i loved you from that moment on.
You always lit up the room when you walked in. We were all giddy when you were around. Oh how i miss those days.
Now, i've got a proposition for you, remember we were always going to run away together? Well i will, under one condition........We take Allan with us!!!!!! we will then grab Julie, phil and their brood, Carol, jerome, and theirs, mine too, then we will all run off into the sun set for ever and ever. Oh how wanderful that would be!!!
Now take care of each other, and don't forget to pay us all a visit from time to time. Don't let my Allan get too drunk, because he always gets himself into trouble when he does.

Dad, its four years today you took your last breath and left us to be in heaven. There has not been a day gone by when you have not been in my thoughts. As you know Allan would have gone to the pub today and bought a pint of 'SHITE' bitter! thats what you called it. But as you also know Allan is up there with you. I hope the drinks are on him, i know what hes like, short arms long pockets! You know what gets me dad, you never had chance to go grey or receive a pension, it seems so unfair, and then you get Allan with everything at his feet, and he makes the decision to leave! it does not make any sense. I am just letting you know that i am thinking of you today because a very special man left us March 10th 2004, i love you Dad, now and always Julie Wombat x x x
